Questions we answer every week, answered the way we answer them at the shop.
Can a heater run on an extension board? No. It needs its own 4 sq mm circuit. Boards overheat under heater load.
Tingling touch on the tap or geyser? That is a live body telling you the earth has failed. Switch off and call the same day.
Copper coil priced far below market? That is not a discount, that is less copper. Walk away.
6A switch on a heater line? The most common melted switch we see. Heaters need 16A modules.
One email per guide. Nothing else.
We publish when we have something worth saying, roughly twice a month. No spam, no selling, unsubscribe in one click.
You are on the list. Thank you.
Field firstEvery guide begins with a fault we saw or a question we were asked at the counter.
Numbers over adjectivesWattages, cable sizes and savings maths you can verify with a pen and your own bill.
Corrected when wrongIf a reader spots an error we fix it and update the date on the article. That is the whole policy.
